iObeya is a collaborative visual management platform designed for enterprise teams, particularly those using Agile and Lean methodologies. It provides digital tools that replicate the experience of traditional physical war rooms and visual boards, allowing teams to manage projects, collaborate in real-time, and track performance across distributed locations. With a focus on visual collaboration, iObeya helps organizations enhance productivity, improve communication, and streamline workflows in areas such as product development, manufacturing, and operations.

| My Role
SQCDP boards play a crucial role in team management. Used in numerous construction companies and factories, these boards help quickly bridge the gap between workers and managers. I was the lead designer for the redesign of the icons and the introduction of new visual indicators, allowing for easier reading by both workers and managers. The goal was to save employees time by creating icons that are simpler and quicker to identify.

iObeya's Resource Center is an important tool, as it is used by many internal and external developers to develop or use iObeya's APIs. My work focused on the 'documentation' section, where I undertook a complete UI/UX redesign. The goal was to simplify and organize the information to ensure that users could quickly and effortlessly find what they were looking for without frustration.

During my time at iObeya, I spent six months working on a feature modification for multi-selection that ultimately wasn’t approved. Several factors contributed to this outcome. First, the tool wasn’t meant to receive new updates, as its usage was set to evolve, but being new to the company, I lacked the experience with the software to propose a better alternative. Additionally, my proposals were too disruptive for the existing user base, and user testing consistently yielded negative results. Finally, the changes I suggested would have required significant backend redevelopment in Vue.js, creating too much of a workload for the development team. However, this experience taught me the importance of deeply understanding both the product and user needs before suggesting impactful changes, and the value of collaborating closely with development to ensure feasibility.
